Free TEAS 7 math practice guide and worked examples

Work through original math examples, compare your reasoning with a worked solution, and choose a specific topic to review. No account or card required. These are unscored teaching resources, not an official exam or a prediction of admission or passing.

The teaching guide stays free. The optional eight-section Quick Sheet is $2.99, with two sections free to download first. A scored TEAS test, full simulation and paid question bank are not currently offered here.

What you can study here

Start with fractions, percentages and ratios, then work on equations, units, geometry and data. The free guide gives original worked examples and common mistake explanations. These selected lessons are not a complete course or official test replica.

Use each example to inspect your reasoning, not to decide that an entire subject is mastered. These resources do not cover reading or English and language usage. Confirm the full content outline, your school’s admission criteria and current testing requirements with the provider.

Three useful checks before your next practice session

Original, unscored teaching material—not questions from an official exam.

Percentages: identify the base first

For a change from 50 to 60, the increase is 10 and the original base is 50: 10 ÷ 50 × 100 = 20%. Dividing by the new value answers a different question. Write the quantity you are comparing against before calculating.

Ratios and units: show what cancels

Write the desired unit beside your blank answer. Multiply by conversion factors arranged so the unwanted units cancel. Estimate the size first: converting a measurement into a smaller unit should produce a larger number.

Data: read the scale before the pattern

Check axis labels, units and spacing before comparing heights or slopes. An average can hide a spread: inspect the values and decide whether the question asks for a mean, a median, a range or a rate.

Build a short review plan

  1. Cover a worked solution and attempt the example first.
  2. Compare your reasoning, including answers you guessed correctly. Write down the rule or step you need to repair.
  3. Use the guide or quick sheet, then apply the idea to a different example.
