Start with something useful.
Name vessels by direction
Arteries carry blood away from the heart; veins return it. Oxygen content does not define the vessel's name.
Adult pulmonary route: right ventricle → lungs → left atrium. Pulmonary arteries carry oxygen-poor blood; pulmonary veins return oxygen-rich blood.
Change one factor; measure another
Example: vary a lamp's distance and measure plant growth. Distance is the independent variable; growth is the dependent variable. Keep water, species and duration comparable.
A correlation alone does not establish a cause: another factor or the direction of the relationship may explain it. Seek a controlled comparison.
